Georgia State House Recognizes the GISC

Under House Resolution 764 of the Georgia House of Representatives, the Golden Isles Shag Club and its Host Club location Ziggy Mahoney's on St Simons Island were recognized for promoting and preserving the Carolina Shag. The resolution was read and adopted on March 25th, 2009.
The Golden Isles Shag Club was commended for preserving the rich historical tradition of the Shag, and they further recognized Keenan Carter for providing the Golden Isles Shag Club with an amazing venue for its gatherings at Ziggy Mahoney's.
