As part of Jekyll Island's revitalization plan, the Hotel has an active program of room upgrades and refurbishment. They have recently set up a condo sales option, so that some of these investor owned condo's are also available as rooms rentals - or you can buy one.
Great Pool, Bar and Dance Areas
One of the benefits that this resort offers is that the event is an all in one location. The Tiki Bar overlooks the pool area, and the Dancing is right next to both the pool and the Tiki Bar. The Shag Clubs hospitality suite - which is the picture at
the top of this page - is directly the other side of the dance venue, so that our party is truly "PARK & PARTY. We normally close the hospitality suite during the times when scheduled events are in progress, but otherwise it is open for refreshments and snacks.
Full Hotel Dining "plus" Hospitality Suite
While we like to be casual as we party we also like the opportunity to "clean up" for dinner. On Saturday this year the club decided to have a full catered dinner in one of the hotels banquet rooms - which we included in the registration fee. Saturday breakfast is on us as well. You can enjoy the buffet breakfast at the hotels restaurant any time from 7:00 to 10:00, to suit both early and later risers. On Sunday its "liquid sunshine and gospel", before we take our annual survivor's party picture.
