Wayne and Judy are going to concentrate this workshop on Style and the Lead. Many shag dancers become loose, relaxed and forget to lead efectively, as a result many of their partners become confused on what is comming next and find the dance is becoming less fun.

Mike Harding and his partner have indicated that their workshop will concentrate on some steps that have gained in popularity in the area around their hometown of Greensboro, NC. Mike who regularly visits many of the 10 clubs in his area as a DJ, has a unique opportunity to view how the dance is evolving, upstate and 200 miles from the beach.

Wayne & Judy ~ Friday Shag Workshop

Wayne and Judy Bennet are the shag instuctors for the Golden Isles Shag Club. They teach a 4 week Introductory series of Shag Basic step at the Brunswick YWCA once every Quarter. Once a month they introduce an Intermediate step for club dancers during our Tuesday club dance night. Mike Harding ~ Saturday Shag Workshop

Mike Harding,living in the northern tier of North Carolina where he says you can shag 7 nights a week without having to drive ouside the area. To say that the dancers there are quite talented is true. So when we said "Mike, how about putting on the Saturday Workshop? - the response was very positive. He has not let us in on the secret of what he is going to cover, but we expecta little bit of fancy footwork and flair.
