| September 6 | Our Bocce ball tournament is set for Saturday, Sept. 6th on the beach in front of the coast guard station on St Simons. Time will be announced later after I check on the tides. No real skill is needed. Rules are simple. Rules will be explained and time to "warm up" will be provided. We will be asking everyone to find partners and form teams of 2 for our competition. We hope to have 2-3 games going on simultaneously, depending on the number of teams participating. More info to follow. Mark your calendar and plan to meet on the beach the Saturday after Labor Day.

| September 12 | SOS Fall Migration begins Friday, Sep. 12th. Fun Sunday concert with bands and Fun Monday street event. Purchase Fun Monday raffle tickets from Judy Bennett. Do not need to be present to win. First price $7,500 with four more chances to win money. Tickets will be sold until Sep. 1st $10 each. Better odds than in the lottery. Get one or two, proceeds benefit Caring for Kids and is tax deductible. |

| November 15 | Oyster Roast at Bill & Donita's. We will get started around 6pm. Volunteers needed to help Bill finish the dance floor. Possible Saturday work day to help with that. Oysters provided by the club. There will be an RSVP to determine the amount of oysters needed. More details in monthly newsletter. |
